In the coming months the entire filmography of French filmmaker Jean Eustache will undergo meticulous restoration. After a dispute which long hindered the distribution of his works, an agreement was reached between Boris Eustache and Les Films du Losange. The films, including the mythical La maman et la putain (1973), are being restored in 4K digital format, with the guidance of cinematographers who participated in their filming, such as Jacques Besse or Caroline Champetier, in conjunction with the Italian laboratory L’Immagine Ritrovata. Soon after all restorations conclude, they will be rereleased.
