On 21 January, French actress Nathalie Delon passed away at the age of 79. She was one of French cinema's glamourous stars, mostly known for her role as Jane Lagrange in Le Samouraï (Jean-Pierre Melville, 1967). There she played alongside Alain Delon, who was her husband at the time. They would appear together two more times: in Jean Herman’s crime pic Jeff (1969) and comedy Doucement les basses [Easy Down There!] (1971). She also directed two features: Ils appellent ça un accident (1982), which she co-directed with Yves Deschamps, and the romcom Sweet Lies (1988). In 2008, she made her final appearance in Werner Schroeter’s Nuit de chien.
