Velvet Dreams: A Moonlit Film Party
On Wednesday, April 29, students of LUCA School of Arts host an evening of film and music in the school library, beginning with a DJ set by Ruddy and Matthew at 18:30. At 21:00, the screenings start with Maya Deren’s At Land (1944), in which a woman moves through shifting landscapes, followed by Un chant d’amour (1950), Jean Genet’s portrayal of desire and confinement, and concluding with Eaux d’artifice (Kenneth, Anger, 1953), set in a baroque garden to music by Vivaldi. The evening closes with a DJ set by Arjan van Hesteren.
