Brussels Arthouse Cinemas Launch Subscription

This Spring, five arthouse cinemas in Brussels (Cinéma Galeries, Aventure, Vendôme, Palace and Kinograph) are planning the launch of a new subscription formula. For an attractive and fair monthly fee of around twenty euros visitors will be able to see as much films as they want. The new proposal comes after a particularly dire financial period due to the pandemic, seeing attendance rates drop to a new low. A public survey held in December last year revealed great interest for the idea however, from regular and irregular cinemagoers alike. The idea is based on the Cineville-pass previously launched in the Netherlands, a similar initiative which led to a significantly higher frequency of going to the cinema. Hopes are more Belgian cinemas will follow suit if the initiative proves succesful. Information regarding the name and exact price of the new subscription will be shared in the near future.
