Harvard Film Archive Launches Conversations

The Harvard Film Archive recently launched a new section called “Conversations” on their website. The conversations are part of The Harvard Film Archive Visiting Artists Collection documenting visitors to the HFA’s cinematheque. Recordings include pre-screening introductions by HFA curators and programmers and personal introductions by filmmakers as well as post-screening question and answer sessions between curators, programming staff, audience, and filmmakers. Some of the guests featured include: Agnès Varda, Elaine May, Kenneth Anger, Monte Hellman, Nathaniel Dorsky, Jonas Mekas, Claire Denis, Leos Carax, Yoshida Kiju, Susumu Hani, Ben Rivers, Hong Sang-soo, Guy Maddin, Pedro Almodovar, Wim Wenders, William Friedkin, Terence Davies, Claude Lanzmann, Matías Piñeiro, Pedro Costa, Lisandro Alonso, João Pedro Rodrigues and João Guerra da Mata, Tsai Ming-liang and Lee Kang-sheng, Laura Citarella and Mariano Llinás, Rita Azevedo Gomes, Martín Rejtman, Valérie Massadian, Lav Diaz, Kidlat Tahimik, Bong Joon-ho, John Akomfrah, Abdellatif Kechiche, Jerry Schatzberg, Philippe Grandrieux, Masa Adachi, Zelimir Zilnik, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Alice Rohrwacher, Agnès Godard, Whit Stillman, Robert Beavers, Wang Bing, Angela Schanelec, Ernie Gehr, Olaf Möller, Stanley Cavell, P.
