Michael Lonsdale (1931-2020)

On 21 September 2020, the French-British actor Michael Lonsdale passed away at the age of 89. During his career, he has acted for directors such as Orson Welles, François Truffaut, Joseph Losey, Louis Malle, Luis Buñuel, Jean-Pierre Mocky, Jean Eustache or Jean-Daniel Pollet as well as contemporary texts (Dürrenmatt, Beckett, Duras...) in the theatre. He also acted in main stream films, including a James Bond film, Moonraker in 1979, in the role of the villain, or the comedy Ma vie est un enfer by Josiane Balasko, as well as in television films.
