The Cinémathèque du documentaire at the Bibliothèque publique d’information of Centre Pompidou will showcase the complete filmography of Frederick Wiseman, screening all 46 of his films between September 2024 and March 2025 at the Centre Pompidou. The first cycle will start on 9 September and ends on 20 December. This retrospective, titled “Frederick Wiseman, Nos Humanités,” marks the first global presentation of Wiseman’s work following the restoration of much of his oeuvre.

Wiseman himself will be present, including at a masterclass on 28 September, along with various guests. The programme offers a chance to revisit films like Titicut Follies (1967), Welfare (1975), and The Store (1983), as well as lesser-known films such as Canal Zone (1977), Racetrack (1985), and High School II (1994).
