Amsterdam Film Meeting
Between 30 October and 3 November, Filmhuis Cavia in Amsterdam will inaugurate the first edition of the Amsterdam Film Meeting. Over one extended weekend, the Amsterdam Film Meeting will present a diverse programme that spans a range of styles, forms, and cinematic schools. Filmmakers and artists from various perspectives and career stages will gather to showcase works-in-progress, diaristic collections, and analogue cinema performances. The shared commitment to experimentation serves as the central curatorial thread.
The event will feature Haruharasan no uta [Haruhara San's Recorder] (Kyoshi Sugita, 2022), Nuit obscure - Au revoir ici, n’importe où (Sylvain George, 2023), Bande de cons! (Roland Lethem, 1970), and Hexham Heads (Chloë Delanghe & Mattijs Driesen, 2024), among others. It will also present the first partial retrospective of Brazilian filmmaker Walter Hugo Khouri’s films outside of Brazil, in partnership with the Cinemateca Brasileira and the Estate of Walter Hugo Khouri.
