Of Sea and Soil. The Cinema of Tsuchimoto Noriaki and Ogawa Shinsuke
Ter gelegenheid van de filmprogramma's gewijd aan Ogawa Shinsuke en Ogawa Pro in CINEMATEK (1 april – 5 mei 2019) en Tsuchimoto Noriaki op het Courtisane festival (3 – 7 april 2019), is de publicatie Of Sea and Soil: The Cinema of Tsuchimoto Noriaki and Ogawa Shinsuke beschikbaar op het Courtisane festival en in CINEMATEK. Deze Engelse publicatie – samengesteld en gepubliceerd door Sabzian, Courtisane en CINEMATEK – tracht de trajecten te volgen van Ogawa Shinsuke en Tsuchimoto Noriaki, door filmcriticus Hasumi Shigehiko respectievelijk “de filmmaker van de grond” en “de filmmaker van de zee” genoemd. De publicatie heeft de vorm van een plakboek, een kluwen van geschriften, citaten en interviews die we wisten op te sporen en vertalen met de hulp van een heel aantal andere “liefhebbers” die het werk van deze twee filmmakers bewonderen en koesteren.
