Of Sea and Soil. The Cinema of Tsuchimoto Noriaki and Ogawa Shinsuke

À l'occasion des programmes de films dédiés à Ogawa Shinsuke et Ogawa Pro à la CINEMATEK (du 1er avril au 5 mai 2019) et à Tsuchimoto Noriaki au Festival Courtisane (du 3 au 7 avril 2019), la publication Of Sea and Soil: The Cinema of Tsuchimoto Noriaki and Ogawa Shinsuke sera disponible au festival Courtisane et à la CINEMATEK. Cette publication en anglais – compilée, éditée et publiée par Sabzian, Courtisane et la CINEMATEK – a pour objectif de retracer les trajectoires d'Ogawa Shinsuke et de Tsuchimoto Noriaki, que le critique de cinéma Hasumi Shigehiko appelait respectivement “le cinéaste du sol” et "le cinéaste de la mer”. La publication a pris la forme d'un album-souvenir qui rassemble un patchwork de textes, citations et interviews que nous avons pu retrouver et traduire avec l'aide de nombreux autres “amateurs” qui admirent et chérissent le travail de ces deux cinéastes.
