The Theatre of the Matters Hosts Retrospective in New York and Chicago
During the weekend of February 21–23, the itinerant film screening troupe The Theatre of the Matters will host Peasants of the Cinema: António Reis & Margarida Cordeiro, a programme dedicated to the cinema of António Reis and Margarida Cordeiro. The programme will open at Metrograph (New York) on 21 February and at Doc Films (Chicago) on 22 February. For the occasion, The Theatre of the Matters published ‘Jaime, The Unexpected in Portuguese Cinema: António Reis interviewed by João César Monteiro,’ translated by Andy Rector.
