Films byTexts by Cahiers du Cinéma
Cahiers du Cinéma is an influential French film magazine founded in 1951 by editors-in-chief André Bazin, Jacques Doniol-Valcroze and Joseph-Marie Lo Duca. In addition to the editors, filmmakers and critics such as Jacques Rivette, Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol and François Truffaut wrote for the magazine. The magazine is regarded as a driving force and a conduit for new trends such as the nouvelle vague and the introduction of the term “auteur cinema”.
