Serge Halimi

Serge Halimi (1955) is a French journalist and writer. He started working for the magazine Le Monde diplomatique in 1992. In 2008, he became its editorial director. As a writer, his bibliography includes Les Nouveaux Chiens de garde (1997), Quand la gauche essayait (2000), L’Opinion, ça se travaille… (2001), co-authored with Dominique Vidal and Henri Maler, and Le Grand Bond en arrière (2004). He appeared in three films by Pierre Carles, namely Pas vu, pas pris (1998), La sociologie est un sport de combat (2001) and Enfin pris (2002). He also contributed to the journal for media criticism PLPL, which later became Le Plan B. He is likewise an adherent of ATTAC (Association pour la Taxation des Transactions financières et pour l'Action Citoyenne).
