Wout Biesmans

Wout Biesmans (Belgium, 1997) is a filmmaker, teacher, and programmer. He studied Audiovisual Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent and obtained his educational master’s degree at LUCA School of Arts Genk. In 2023, he founded R(a/u)pture, a Belgian collective that organizes film and music programs. His works have been exhibited and screened at various art and film festivals, including the Athens Digital Arts Festival, Small Shorts Festival in Saint Petersburg, and Éclats Festival in Brussels. Since 2023, he has been programming for the RAW section at the Short Waves Festival in Poland. Biesmans currently teaches a sound and filmmaking class at Atlas College Art and Design in Genk and conducts art education workshops for Mooss at community centers in Brussels and in museums, including Bozar and Train World.
