James Blue
James Blue (1930-1980) was an American director known for A Few Notes on Our Food Problem (1968), Les oliviers de la justice (1962) and Invisible City: The Houston Housing Crisis (1978). He graduated from L’institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC) in Paris in 1958. Blue taught at UCLA in the 1960s and at the American Film Institute. In 1969 A Few Notes on Our Food Problem was nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary. He interviewed Pier Paolo Pasolini and Satyajit Ray for Film Comment.
